Ukraine’s MiG-29 fighter jet wipes out Russia’s drone operations base using Hammer precision-guided bombs.

Ukrainian Air Force aircraft destroyed a building used by Russian FPV drone operators in the northern sector using high-precision strike using AASM Hammer precision-guided bombs.

Ukrainian MiG-29 fighters have utilized French-supplied AASM Hammer precision-guided bombs to strike Russian drone operator bases, command posts, and ammunition depots.

These missions involve low-altitude flights to evade radar, targeting critical infrastructure and personnel in occupied southern sectors. Additionally, Ukrainian drones have destroyed Russian MiG-29 aircraft on the ground in Crimea.

MiG-29s have targeted facilities used by Russian FPV drone operators, specifically engaging building sites identified by reconnaissance drones.

Attacks frequently employ French AASM Hammer guided bombs, which enhance accuracy against fortified positions.

Pilots fly at extremely low altitudes (approx. 50 ft) to avoid detection before releasing ordnance, frequently engaging in and evading heavy fire from Russian air defences.

Beyond personnel, strikes have destroyed ammunition depots and radar systems (such as the “Irtyish” radar) to hinder Russian air defense capabilities.

In late 2025, Ukrainian drone strikes and missile attacks targeted Russian Air Force MiG-29 aircraft directly at Crimean bases like Kacha and Belbek.
