Ukraine’s FPV drones destroyed Russia’s T-80BV battle tank

The Ukrainian Defense Forces managed to destroy a Russian tank, saving the drone. FPV drones are usually used as disposable kamikaze drones.

The Ukrainian military used the FPV drone as a courier. It carefully delivered explosives to the Russian tank, which was standing with its hatch open. The drone then flew higher and recorded the detonation on video.

The destroyed combat vehicle turned out to be a Russian T-80BV tank. They are very common on the battlefield.

According to Oryx, more than 450 cases of complete destruction of T-80BVs have been documented, dozens of tanks were damaged and abandoned, and about a hundred more came under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The defence forces have seized a large amount of Russian military equipment. For example, the day before it became known that the trophy of the Ukrainian army was a modernised Russian T-90M “Breakthrough” tank, the value of which may reach $4.5 million.
