Lieutenant General (Retd.) Mamun Khaled, the former Director General (2011–2013) of the Directorate General of Forces Intelligence (DGFI), was arrested at his residence in Dhaka, Bangladesh, today.
The Anti-Corruption Commission began investigating the former army officer about a year and a half ago on charges of illegal stock trading, abuse of power, embezzlement through various irregularities and corruption, and the acquisition of wealth beyond known sources of income.

A travel ban had already been imposed on him in May 2025. From the gruesome BDR massacre on February 25th 2009 onward, Mamun Khaled played a considerable role in turning security agencies murderous. It has been alleged that he maintains special ties with Indian intelligence agencies.
Previously, former Director of DGFI Lieutenant General (retired) MD Saiful Alam was arrested from his residence on Monday, 13 January 2025, for crimes against humanity, corruption, money laundering and assisting former dictator Sheikh Hasina in laundering money from Bangladesh.
According to a notice issued by the defence ministry on 10 September 2025, the officials are Lt Gen Md Saiful Alam, Lt Gen Ahmed Tabrez Shams Chowdhury, and Major Gen Hamidul Haque.

The armed forces also removed its officer, Lt Gen Mujibur Rahman, from his position as the general officer commanding (GOC) of the Army Training and Doctrine Command (ARTDOC), according to another notice issued by the ministry on 11 September.
Lieutenant General Mujibur Rahman knew the trade craft of infiltration inside and didn’t serve Bangladesh with honour and dignity; instead, he served Indian interests inside Bangladesh for his greed to accumulate illegal wealth through colluding with Indian RAW.
From BDR mutiny to manipulating DGDP to purchase Indian military hardware to weaken Bangladesh, Lieutenant General Rahman had his fingerprints all over the places.
Lieutenant General Rahman was also instrumental in influencing Indian IT companies to work in Bangladesh unimpeded and extract vital Bangladeshi data from banks, insurance companies, logistics, military and government offices in favor of Indian RAW.
