According to Bloomberg, the United States is preparing a new long-term military aid package for Ukraine.
The new military aid package is due to be announced today, June 9.
The new package will be for $2 billion. It will include two types of modern missiles for the Patriot air defence system: PAC-3 Patriot Advanced Capability Missile and Guidance Enhanced Missile (GEM-T).
The former are produced by Lockheed Martin and the latter by Raytheon Technologies. Thanks to them, the Ukrainian air defence system will be able to better target ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and enemy aircraft.
In addition to Patriot missiles, the Pentagon will also order additional Hawk missile launchers and ammunition for Ukraine.
