Germany will transfer $19.1 billion worth of weapons to Ukraine over the next few years

Germany promises to continue providing military support to Ukraine in the coming years. This was recently announced by Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

After 24 February 2022, Germany became one of the largest arms suppliers for Ukraine. Berlin transferred the MIM-104 Patriot air defense system, IRIS-T SLM surface-to-air missile systems, MARS II multiple rocket launchers, Leopard 2 tanks, and other equipment. The full list can be found on the government’s official website.

Until 2027, Ukraine will receive $19.1bn (€17bn) worth of arms from Germany. According to Olaf Scholz, this is exclusively the German government’s assistance. This amount does not include aid from foundations and organizations.
