Ukraine Shot Down Ka-52 Attack Helicopter Using Starstreak Missile

Ukrainian paratroopers have shot down Russia’s Ka-52 ‘Alligator’ helicopter with the Starstreak high-velocity missile (HVM) system.

The relevant statement was made by the Air Assault Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“A serviceman from the anti-aircraft defense unit of the 95th Separate Air Assault Brigade has shot down Russia’s Ka-52 ‘Alligator’ attack and scout helicopter with the Starstreak HVM system,” the report states.

A reminder that, on June 26, 2022, another Russia’s Ka-52 helicopter was downed with the Igla man-portable surface-to-air missile system.
