Poland Beefs Up Military Preparedness Along Borders with Russia, Belarus

Poland is ramping up its military readiness for potential unforeseen military operations along its borders with Belarus, Russia, and Ukraine.

The country’s Armed Forces Operational Command has issued a notice to aviators, signaling a period of heightened military aviation activity in Poland’s eastern regions.

The Armed Forces Operational Command disclosed via social media that “unplanned military actions related to ensuring state security may occur.”

This advisory alerts pilots to anticipate increased military flight operations in the east of Poland. The heightened alert status is scheduled to last from February 5 to May 5, 2024.

In a related development, a NATO official underscored the importance of civilian preparedness for potential military confrontations with Russia.

According to Rob Bauer, head of the NATO military committee, such a scenario would significantly alter civilian life in the West.

He emphasized the necessity for the West to establish a framework capable of training a larger number of soldiers promptly in the event of conflict.
