As reported by Militarnyi on November 14, 2023, the Croatian Ministry of Defense has recently awarded a contract to the German manufacturer Dynamit Nobel Defense (DND) for the production and delivery of RGW90 anti-tank missile systems. This contract encompasses the supply of RGW90 HH (HEAT/HESH) along with associated training systems.
The RGW90 HH is part of the RGW90 shoulder-launched weapons, designed for anti-tank and multi-purpose applications, combining high penetration performance against armored vehicles with the ability to engage structures and light targets.
The RGW90 family has gained popularity among various European and international forces for its effectiveness in anti-tank engagements, including deliveries to Belgium and Ukraine. The RGW90 (Recoilless Grenade Weapon) family includes various infantry weapon systems, such as the RGW90HH (Heat-Hesh), RGW90AS (Anti Structure), and RGW90WB (Wall Breacher).
The RGW90 HH version available on the market, the RGW90 HH A2, features a 90mm-caliber mono-shaped charge warhead. Weighing approximately 8 kg, this shoulder-launched weapon can penetrate over 600 mm of armor steel at a combat distance of 500 m, with a hit probability of more than 90 percent on a NATO standard target. The RGW90 HH’s dual-mode mono-shaped charge warhead allows for flexible firing modes, including High Explosive Anti-Tank (HEAT) and High Explosive Squash Head (HESH).
