Croatia Donates Fourteen Mi-8 Transport Helicopters To Ukraine

The Croatian Ministry of Defense is going to transfer a new package of military assistance to Ukraine.

This was reported by the local publication Jutarnji. Croatia donated 14 Mi-8 and Mi-8MTV helicopters to Ukraine. The Ministry of Defense has already taken a decision, and now the only thing left to do is to get permission from the government. Croatia planned to replace the Russian and Soviet-made Mi-8s with additional American Black Hawk helicopters. Croatia is already in talks with the U.S. to buy new equipment.

The Mi-8 is a Soviet/Russian multi-purpose helicopter developed in the early 1960s. The Mi-8 is the most mass-produced twin-engine helicopter and one of the most mass-produced helicopters in aviation history. It is widely used for many civil and military missions. The Mi-8 has many modifications. It can be found in over 50 countries.
