Russia Drops Bombs on Mariupol Drama Theatre

Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry said Russia dropped a powerful bomb on Mariupol Drama Theatre housing hundreds of civilians, including pregnant women and children.

Pavlo Kyrylenko, head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, posted pictures and videos of the theatre on Telegram, claiming the Russians were “deliberately attacking civilians.” The photos showed the middle section of the theatre building completely destroyed with thick white smoke rising from the rubble.

Another video in the aftermath of alleged Russian bombings showed windows, doors and the roof of the Neptune pool facility blown out.

The Russian defense ministry has denied attacking the theatre building and accused the Azov Battalion, a far-right Ukrainian militia, of blowing it up.
