Russian Helicopters Holding, a subsidiary of state-owned Rostec has agreed to supply two Mi-171A2 helicopters to Bangladesh Police.

Delivery of rotorcraft to the customer is scheduled for the first quarter of 2023.

In 2018, the Mi-171A2 helicopter took part in a demonstration tour around the countries of Southeast Asia, during which specialists and potential customers got acquainted with its capabilities. The helicopter was also presented at the recently concluded Dubai Airshow 2021 international air show, within the framework of which a contract was signed for the supply of two Mi-171A2s to Peru.

The first foreign operators of the Mi-171A2 were Kazakhstan and India. The helicopter type certificate has also been validated by the aviation authorities of Colombia and South Korea. In addition, it is planned to validate the Mi-171A2 certificate in China, Brazil, Mexico, Peru, the United Arab Emirates and other countries.

It is equipped with VK-2500PS-03 engines with a digital control system. Increased power engines and an upgraded complex of flight-navigation and radio communication equipment have expanded the scope of the helicopter.
