Satellite Images Confirm U.S. Strike Destroyed Iranian Drone Plant Near Isfahan.

U.S. Central Command released images Friday showing the Esfahan Khomeynishahr Drone Production Plant intact on March 3, 2026, and heavily damaged by March 12 after strikes between March 8 and 11. The facility built Shahed attack drones supplied to proxies in the Middle East and components for Russia’s Geran-2 drones in Ukraine.

This hit is part of Operation Epic Fury, a U.S.-Israeli campaign since February 28 that has targeted over 6,000 Iranian military sites, including leadership and nuclear facilities, amid ongoing missile exchanges, Strait of Hormuz closure, and rising casualties on both sides.

As of March 2026, reports indicate significant U.S. and Israeli airstrikes have heavily damaged or destroyed Iranian drone factories and regional production sites, particularly targeting facilities linked to Shahed suicide drones. These actions, targeting facilities like those in Isfahan, are aimed at neutralizing Tehran’s drone armada.

US Central Command claimed to have destroyed a key Shahed drone factory and a drone base within Iran. Israeli strikes have also targeted drone assembly sites, specifically in cities like Isfahan.

Israeli officials claimed that Iran’s missile and drone capabilities were “massively degraded”
