Van Halteren Technologies and the Materiel and IT Command (COMMIT), part of the Netherlands Ministry of Defence, have signed an agreement for the development and delivery of a Weapon Loading Rehearsal Trainer for the F-35 fighter aircraft. The system is intended to support safe and realistic training for ground crews responsible for weapon loading operations.
The Weapon Loading Rehearsal Trainer is a full-scale replica of the F-35, providing a realistic environment in which personnel can practise weapon loading procedures without using an operational aircraft. It replicates key elements of the aircraft, including internal weapon bays, external wing pylons, and interfaces for the cannon and countermeasures, allowing crews to train for loading bombs and missiles.
By offering a controlled and highly accurate training environment, the trainer is designed to improve efficiency and reduce operational risks during real-world operations. The programme reflects the shared commitment of Van Halteren Technologies and COMMIT to strengthen the readiness of the Royal Netherlands Air and Space Force through innovative and practical training solutions.
