Two pilots of the Ukrainian Air Force can master the fourth-generation fighter jet F-16 Fighting Falcon in a few months. Lieutenant-General Mykola Oleshchuk, commander of the Air Force, said this on the air of a national telethon.

American instructors evaluated two Ukrainian pilots. According to the results of the evaluation, it was decided that the pilots will be able to master fighter jets in four months. At the same time, the total training course is designed for almost three years (32 months).

Naturally, Ukrainian pilots will not be able to learn everything that is envisaged by the 32-month training programme. In this regard, a flexible system of approach to each pilot has been created in order to focus primarily on the use of weapons.

Piloting technique is then relegated to the background. If the pilot learns to use missiles and bombs effectively, the F-16 Fighting Falcon will be able to do everything else on its own. In particular, make a landing in autopilot mode.

Earlier we wrote that the F-16 has already been in Ukraine. The American fighter jet made a landing on the runway. Now Ukraine is preparing the infrastructure at the airfields.
