Ukraine wants Long-range AGM-158 JASSM Missiles For Their F-16s

Recently, the Netherlands and Denmark officially announced that they would hand over US F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter jets to Ukraine. Now Ukraine is dealing with the issue of supplying armaments for the aircraft.

According to Forbes, Ukraine wants to get the AGM-158 JASSM high-precision air-to-ground cruise missiles into service. It is this type of missile that will help the AFU utilise the full potential of US fighter jets. As with the F-16 Fighting Falcon, Ukraine must get permission from the US to receive the missiles.

AGM-158 JASSM is an American high-precision air-to-ground cruise missile developed by Lockheed Martin Corporation. The missile is designed to engage critical, highly defended stationary and relocatable targets in all weather conditions and at any time of day. JASSM has a 450kg warhead and a target engagement range of more than 370 kilometres.
