‘Autonomy and robotics are reshaping how defense forces operate today’ – Eyal Dahan, CEO of FUSE, an Elbit Systems subsidiary.
Elbit Systems Ltd. subsidiary FUSE completed the acquisition of Israeli technology company Blue White Robotics Ltd. (“Bluewhite”), it confirmed on Wednesday.
Bluewhite is a developer of “AI-powered autonomous solutions for critical off-road and defense applications,” Elbit said. FUSE acquired 100% of the Tel Aviv-founded company.
Since its founding in 2017, Bluewhite has “developed a unique off-road autonomy platform that enables seamless, original equipment manufacturer (OEM)-agnostic capabilities [designed to operate seamlessly across brands].”
“Bluewhite delivers field-ready autonomy and intelligence for the new era of robotic warfare. Our scalable, AI‑powered autonomy solutions transform existing vehicles and robotic platforms into an intelligent, coordinated autonomous swarm. Bluewhite partners with defense forces, OEMs, and system integrators to enable autonomy, saving lives and accelerating mission success,” Elbit’s statement noted.
Elbit highlighted two Bluewhite products, one called Pathfinder, which is an “autonomy kit for converting conventional vehicles to fully autonomous” vehicles, and the other called Compass, “a cloud-based fleet operations software, [that] transforms ground vehicles into fully autonomous, intelligent fleets capable of executing complex missions in rugged environments,” Elbit said.
FUSE’s acquisition of Bluewhite will strengthen its “multi-domain autonomy capabilities, complementing its existing unmanned aerial and swarm technologies and enhancing its ability to deliver advanced robotic and manned–unmanned teaming (MUM‑T) solutions to defense and homeland security customers worldwide,” according to Elbit.
Unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) have become one of the most consequential technologies in modern warfare. Once limited to bomb disposal and remote reconnaissance, they now support frontline combat, logistics, electronic warfare, and casualty evacuation across multiple conflict zones. Their rapid evolution is transforming how militaries fight, supply, and survive on increasingly lethal and electronically contested battlefields.
