Ukraine developed unmanned submarine that can target Russian warship in 1000km range

An unmanned submarine capable of conducting reconnaissance and operating in kamikaze mode will enter service with the Ukrainian Navy. The submarine is called “Marichka”.


In Ukraine has already started testing of a new submarine. This was announced by the Deputy Committee of the Verkhovna Rada on national security, defence and intelligence Yuri Mysyagin. He also published a video of diving the drone underwater.


Marichka will be able to destroy Russian ships and coastal fortifications. At the same time, the carrying capacity of the drone has not yet been specified. The submersible is 6 metres long and 1 metre wide.

The unmanned submarine is able to conduct reconnaissance and destroy targets within a radius of up to 1,000 kilometres. Another important feature is resistance to enemy electronic warfare. The cost of the submarine is 16 million hryvnias or $430,000.
