Ukrainian Patriot Missile Shot Down Russia’s Su-35 and Su-34 Fighter Bombers

The Ukrainian Air Force spokesman Yuriy Ignat said that five enemy air targets had been shot down in the Bryansk Region.

The Ukrainian Air Force has published a video showing the MIM-104 Patriot air defense system. According to the markings on the aircraft’s airframe, Patriot missiles shot down five airplanes, including one Su-34 fighter, one Su-35S fighter, two Mi-8MTPR-1 electronic warfare helicopters and one Mi-8 helicopter.

Incidentally, this SAM system has destroyed more than 30 enemy air targets in total, including the Kh-47M2 KINJAL hypersonic aeroballistic missiles.

The MIM-104 Patriot is an American surface-to-air missile system developed by Raytheon. It consists of an airborne interceptor missile and a high-performance radar system. Ukraine currently has two divisions of MIM-104 Patriot air defense systems in service.
