Propaganda in wartime must seek to demoralize enemy morale. A primary objective of propaganda aimed at enemy nations is to break down their will to fight. It aims to lower the enemy’s will to resist, and it does this in several ways. One is to picture the military successes on the propagandist’s side.

Propaganda never guarantees victory by either side of the fighting nations. Russian sometimes makes hilarious propaganda. Russia forgets one thing that staging propaganda against a formidable foe does not work well.

Russia recently deployed dummy S-300 air defense systems in central Syria. Those air defense systems gather sands and collapse when their inflatable dummies release air.

Dummy radar collapsed.

A photo appeared on the internet showing Russia’s S-300 air defense systems were deployed at Al Tabqah airbase, which was supposed to protect the Syrian and Iranian military from attacks from the United States, Israel and Turkey; it became known that the S-300 SAM are not real. These S-300 SAM were inflatable mock-ups to mislead the enemy and prevent possible attacks.

Earlier, the SANA news agency published photographs showing the S-300 SAM located at the Al Tabqah airbase. However, the Kurds took several pictures in which it can be seen that, in reality, both the S-300 air defense system radar and mobile launchers are inflatable mock-ups.

There are no official comments on this from Damascus and Moscow. However, the fact that the Kurds are helping the American side and jeopardizing the positions of the Syrian army and the Russian military raises some concern by the Russian military.

The Kurds are disclosing classified information. It is possible that there are dozens of such mock-ups in Syria, but the fact that the Kurds are not only helping the United States but also Turkey and Israel reported SANA newspaper.
