For the first time in 2021, Turkey has used Bayraktar TB2 armed UAVs to strike in Syria.

Turkey used its Bayraktar TB2 unmanned aerial vehicles in Syria to strike the positions of the Syrian government forces and Kurdish armed groups. According to the Daily Sabah news agency, attacks on the position of the SAA and the Kurds were carried out on June 13, while the Syrian government forces failed to intercept the Turkish drones.

Turkish drones attacked the settlement in Aleppo. A part of Aleppo province is controlled by Kurdish and government forces. It is known that Syrian air defense systems are also located in this area, but never realized that the drones were circling above Aleppo and Pantsir missile never posed a threat to Bayraktar TB2, which is likely due to the possible jamming by the Turkish military.

Experts draw attention to the fact that it may well be a new round of escalation of the situation in Syria, especially against the background of various armed groups that began to transfer their forces to the de-escalation zone.
