Turkish Air Force Used E-7A Peace Eagle To Hunt And Destroy S-300 Using TB2 Drones

Azeri attack drones received the coordinates of S-300, OSA and Pantsir air defense system from the E-7A AEW Peace Eagle AEW&C aircraft of Turkish Air Force.

With the outbreak of the last war in Nagorno-Karabakh, everyone expected it to unfold like the one that ended in 1994, with Armenia’s landslide victory. However, in terms of weapons and combat leadership, Armenia has remained at the 1994 level. In addition, in recent years, Armenia has moved towards an uncertain and long-term process of integration into the United States. NATO, thus destroying the system of military alliance with Russia.

On the other hand, Azerbaijan has been preparing for a military invasion of Nagorno-Karabakh for more than a decade, rendering important services to the United States, Israel and Turkey. These services of Azerbaijan were rewarded with the delivery of modern military equipment capable of neutralizing the Armenians, and the training of the Azerbaijani military in their use.

Videos on social media show us that thanks to precise airstrikes, carried out with Israeli Harop (Harpy-2) and Turkish attack drones Bayraktar TB2 or with Israeli anti-tank missiles Spike NLOS, Azerbaijan has managed to neutralize an impressive number Armenian military equipment including S-300, OSA and Pantsir SAM. This enabled the Azerbaijani army to achieve its primary objective of conquering nearly 20% of the territory of the Nagorno-Karabakh enclave.

The way Azerbaijanis plan and fight seems very close to NATO standards. There is a lot of evidence that the Turkish army, thanks to the most efficient automated systems, is the one which ensures the de facto strategic direction of the operation of the Azeri army in Nagorno-Karabakh.

Until now, there has been a tendency to rave about the extraordinary ability of Azerbaijani attack drones to carry out, within the framework of a single mission, the detection and neutralization of Armenian military assets. Which is wrong, because it is the Turkish army that is responsible for detecting Armenian land and air targets, then reporting their GPS coordinates to Azeri attack drones.

Hours before President Recep Tayyip Erdogan spoke on the phone with Russian President Vladimir Putin, an extremely interesting video attributed to the Armenian Ministry of Defense appeared on social media.

Russian news channel explained that the Turkish army detects Armenian military targets and how it transmits their coordinates to Azeri drones.

On the map above, Turkish Air Force sees the path of the Turkish plane E-7A AEW flying 30-40 km from the border with Armenia.

The Turkish army has 4 E-7A AEW, Boeing 737 aircraft on which Northrop has mounted a fixed radar antenna in the L band (1 – 2 GHz) rather than a spinning antenna like that of the E-3 AWACS .

When the E-7A flies at an altitude of 9000 m, the radar can track 180 targets and has a detection distance of air targets of 600 km. ELINT (Electronic Signals Intelligence) equipment uses the same antenna and can detect enemy radars up to 850 km. The E-7A AEW is similar to the Russian Beriev A-100 (equipped with Vega Premier radar) and is used as a flying command post. At the same time, the E-7A AEW is an IT hub, transmitting and receiving the tactical, air and ground situation to pilots in their planes and to units on the ground.

Although this is overlooked, MESA (Multi-Role Electronically-Scanned Array) radar also has the ability to detect armored vehicles or warships up to a distance of 240 km and 400km. It is assumed that the E-7A aircraft began aerial reconnaissance a few months before the start of the Azerbaijani invasion.

This way, the Turkish Army General Staff had on the map the location of all Armenian weapons in Nagorno-Karabakh. Subsequently, it completed the map of the operation with the means of reinforcement provided by Armenia. the Turkish army headquarters had on the map the location of all Armenian weapons in Nagorno-Karabakh.

Subsequently, it completed the map of the operation with the means of reinforcement provided by Armenia. the Turkish army headquarters had on the map the location of all Armenian weapons in Nagorno-Karabakh. Subsequently, it completed the map of the operation with the means of reinforcement provided by Armenia.

The video also shows that at Turkey’s suggestion, the Azerbaijani military organized air service areas with drones, just like the US military in Iraq and Afghanistan. In order to shorten the reaction time to hit the targets. The map also shows the service area in Area No. 1, in which there is an Azeri reconnaissance and attack drone at all times, ready to intervene.

The area is located on the border with Armenia, very close to the Russian military base 102, in Gyumri and Yerevan, where the Russian air base 3624 and the 988th missile regiment S-300V4 are located. Before attacking Armenian targets in Nagorno-Karabakh from air service areas No. 2 and No. 3, Azeri attack drones receive the coordinates of these targets, sent by the E-7A AEW aircraft.

The Azerbaijani attack aircraft even bypassed the S-300 air defense missile systems and destroyed the positions of the Artsakh army.

After the Azerbaijani drones successfully destroyed 90% of the air defense systems of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, the F-16 aircraft of the Turkish Air Force began to actively strike at the border and central regions of the NKR.

Armenia does not have such powerful radio-electronic reconnaissance equipment to perform such a thorough analysis. Russia, most likely, thanks to the equipment of military base 102 in Gyumri, obtained this information and provided it to Armenia. With the aim that once broadcast, President Erdogan will reflect on the fact that Putin knows absolutely everything he does, not just what he says.
