S-300 Has No Interception Capability Against Tactical Missile

The S-300 air defense system was in used in Karabakh by Armenia, but it has so far failed to intercept a single LORA ballistic missile.

Israeli LORA Tactical Ballistic Missiles operated by Azerbaijani Army.

Despite numerous Israeli-made LORA tactical missile strikes against Armenia, the S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems, which are in service with both Armenia have never shown their potential in combat use. Earlier it was reported that the S-300 failed to shot down two tactical missiles over Abovyan in Armenia.

Despite the fact that Russian considers the S-300 systems one of the advanced medium and long-range air defense systems in the world, so far Armenian side has seen absolutely zero results. Azerbaijan freely strikes with tactical missile systems at Armenia, and Azerbaijan, in addition to the use of its tactical complexes, actively strikes with the use of military aircraft and drones.

“Sadly it sounds, but the S-300s have so far demonstrated complete passivity in Nagorno-Karabakh, not only not shooting down a single missile, but apparently, without even detecting them. Something similar has been observed on the territory of Syria for two years now, which causes very serious concern, especially against the background of the fact that Russia is actively using these air defense systems to protect its territory “, said the Russian analyst.

It should be noted that over a month and a half of the armed conflict in Karabakh, the NKR and Armenia lost several radars, mobile command posts and mobile launchers of the S-300 air defense system.
